Hayden's First Halloween

Hayden's first costume was a rodent. Yes a squirrel. I, of course, was a squirrel hunter. In case you are wondering on the choice of costume, one of Hayden's first nicknames, given by his Gran, was Mr. Squirrels. Gran nicknamed him this because he was so squirrelly when he was a newborn. So I could not resist dressing him up as a little furry squirrel. Aimee says she is picking the costume next year.

Hey anyone seen my nuts? I could use a snack.

Ahh, back in my natural environment.

Rub a dub dub, Hayden's in the tub

This is the first time Hayden sat in his new bath seat

Bath time is alway fun with a rubber ducky.

Especially one that is named Trooper Duck, thanks Alex

Who let the dogs out, I know but he is so dog gone cute...

Hayden in the Pumpkin Patch

Well we started off on the wrong foot for Halloween. There is a huge feild of these organge things and without warning from his parents, we plop Hayden right in the middle of them. Not a good plan parents.

We even tryed to put a pumpkin in his lap, saying look, it is just a pumpkin. He is saying "they are surrounding me!"

The following day we gave Hayden a little time to get aquainted with his new surroundings. He seem to have forgotten about the prior day and that he was being attacked by the orange mob.

Oh, they are nice and round.

I like this one mom.

How does this thing work? The door seems stuck.

Sitting up on my own

This is Hayden sitting up on his own. Yes he did just wake up from a nap so I guess that he dreamed of sitting up.

Once he figured it out he was glad not to be slumped over anymore.

Hey, look at me! I am sitting up! Now what?

V-O-L-S, Go Vols Go

Hayden was ready for his first Vols experience. He had all the gear and was ready for the big game with UCLA. He woke up and knew he was ready!

After a good lunch, Hayden was still ready to go. Bring on the Bruins.

Holy Cow, Crompton what are you doing? I could hold on to the ball better than that!

Mom, maybe I need to be a Vandy fan.

Boys and their toys

The exersaucer, what a great invention. Although it had about 70 little screws that went into it assembling the thing, it was worth it. Hayden loves this thing. It bounces, plays music and then some. Our only regret is not putting him in it sooner.

Waking up is hard to do

Just like his mama, Hayden is a slow riser. Once he get's going he is all smiles. Especially when he gets a wake up call from Aimee.

The Protectors

The first of September Gran, Pops, Cary, Bryan and Mattie came to visit. Maddie loves to get up and lick Hayden. She tried to take a sneek kiss one time and Hayden, who's legs are alway kicking, gave Mattie a boot to the backside. She now keeps her distance and only come around when he is sleeping.

This is Cary's bear that Bryan gave her before he left for Iraq. As you can see Gran thought it would be cute to have a picture with it and Hayden thought it was pretty cuddely as well.
